I am former elementary school teacher and art educator. I am a native Californian. I was born in San Francisco and grew up in Marin County where I attended local schools. I graduated from San Francisco College for Women with a major in Art and attended graduate school at Dominican University where I received My California Elementary Teaching Credential. In October 2013 I received a Botanical Art Certificate from Filoli, in Woodside, California.
I am a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists ASBA, The Northern California Society of Botanical Artists NCalSBA. and the Marin County Watercolor society. I have had several solo art exhibitions in Marin County. I have exhibited my work in juried shows at Filoli, in Woodside, CA., Falkirk Cultural Center in San Rafael, CA, and In the Northern California Aqua Area watercolor Shows. I have participated in the NCalSBA Annual Plants Illustrated Exhibit at the University of California Botanical Gardens in Berkeley, CA. and in many Marin County Watercolor Society exhibits. My Paintings "Artichoke" Cynara solymus and "Geranium" Pelargonium "Brilliant" were accepted to the NCalSBA Alcatraz Florilegium. I am currently working with the NCalSBA in creating a Florilegium of Mt. Tamalpais in Marin County. My Paintings: Iris Douglasiana, Douglas Iris...Dryopteris arguta, Coastal Wood Fern...Calypso bulbosa, Fairy Slipper Orchid...Cardamine californica, Milkmaids...and Eschschoizia californica, California Poppy have all been accepted to the Mt. Tamalpais Florilegium.
